Who is sponsoring this conference?
Ladies from several area churches of Christ are involved in the planning process for the women's conference this year. A representative from each of these churches meets together monthly for planning purposes. These representatives have taken responsibility for a different part of the conference. These representatives and the churches they represent include:

Why are we doing this?
We seek to provide a high-quality, regional event, inviting women from all over the Houston metropolitan area. Our mission statement describes the intent of the event: The Abundant Joy Women's Conference is designed to be an experience for women to glorify God, to grow spiritually, and to encourage each other.
Who can come?
The Abundant Joy Women's Conference is open to women of all ages, ethnicities and religious backgrounds. The conference is most likely not appropriate for preteens or early teenagers. There is no childcare available at the conference site at this time. This is a great opportunity for women to enjoy a day of worship and fellowship together. Bring your friends, especially those that need to learn more about the source of our joy - Jesus Christ!
What is the cost?
Advanced registration is $35 per person if postmarked by September 25th. Registration postmarked after the 25th is $50. This fee includes a continental breakfast, catered lunch, outstanding speakers, breakout sessions, and conference materials. The food is being catered by Central Market, Houston TX.
What can I expect from the day?
We believe that you can expect to be encouraged and challenged. Our focus will be on the joy that we can have in our Lord. Many of us need that reminder quite often, especially when life presents struggles and difficulties. We believe that you can expect to be uplifted through worship. We anticipate hundreds of women, fellow believers who love the Lord and want to honor Him, lifting voices together in praise to our God. We believe that you can expect to be blessed.
What about childcare?
We're sorry, but we are unable to provide childcare at this time.
Where can I stay?
If you live a good distance from West Houston Church of Christ, you may want to travel on Friday and stay that evening at a hotel close to the church. Area hotels are listed below for individual or group use. Please note that some offer special rates for conference participants.

One option that many ladies enjoyed in previous years was to come to the Abundant Joy Conference with their church group on Friday night to enjoy a "mini retreat" before the conference began on Saturday. Meeting rooms are available at several of the hotels listed. Churches may choose to plan a special devotional, speaker or prayer time. Lighter options might include a game night or enjoying some fellowship time together over dinner or snacks.
